D is for DEVOTED

DEVOTED     :     adj.   

1.  feeling or demonstrating loyalty or devotion:  ardent:  devout
2.  set apart, dedicated, or consecrate

I am just wondering how many people are truly "devoted" to anything.  We should all be completely devoted to GOD.  I need to work on that.  God is devoted to us, to our salvation, to our happiness. 

You can be devoted to a person, a cause, devoted to a job,etc.

I think I am truly devoted to my children.  I would die for them if I had to.

I know people who are devoted to themselves... and those people usually get on my nerves.

I would like to think that someone could be completely devoted to me, that I would be worthy of that devotion, but I am pretty sure that I would fall short of their devotion at some point.

I am going to work on myself... first I will work on be devoted to the Lord and maybe with that I will be more worthy of someone elses devotion to me.
